Default Mazda 3 (2014) Skyactiv 2.2 DPF ??

Hello guys,

This is my first post, and I am sorry that is a question.
However, I wanted your opinion on the following engine.

I've read that it can have DPF problems a lot, especially if you drive a car short distances, and around 20-30km/h for a long time.

Now as I live in a city where there are traffic jams every day especially when I come back from work, or go to work, do you think this would cause me problems?
Should I get a gas one?

This is my first car and I really don't know what I am dealing with.

Can you please provide me with some advices and share your experiences?

Thanks in advance.

Short trips or slow traffic is bad news for your DPF, unless you can go on a long fast drive on the weekend to clear it out.

Thanks a lot man, so, if I drive it 5 days for a week city drive, and then on the weekend I go for a 1 hour trip it would be okay?
Also, should I drive lower gear to increase RPM or it does not matter that much? Is it only the engine temperature that affects it?

Also, if I take off the DPF, I understand it would be worse for the eco, and that it would increase consumption, but I live in a country where that does not matter that much.
Do you have any opinion about that?
