Hi guys,

I just bought a new 2011 mazdaspeed 3, it has about 1000 miles on it and last night the shifter came loose. It has all sorts of play and does not locate correctly. I was wondering if this is a common issue or if this has happened to people and what they have done? the shifter can move maybe 6 inches in all directions and rotate, any thoughts?

 

is it a common issue? its the same trans setup as the 1st gen speed3's so no it shouldnt, typical shoddy mazda crap. sounds like the bushings are gone, gonna have to take apart the center console to see whats up. id just take it back for good......i mean to get it fixed
