What exactly are you looking for? Just replacement shocks? A slightly stiffer ride? Or ability to take turns really well? If you're looking for replacement or slightly stiffer ride, I would recommend The KONI FSD shocks, though they're not adjustable, they are variable and will adjust to whatever you need. (people do sometimes complain they're a tad soft). If you're looking for wee bit stiffer and adjustable, get the Koni yellows. I would also suggest bilstein, but they're quite a bit more expensive heh. Coilovers are nice if you don't mind giving up a comfortable ride (depending on your definition of this of course)

I agree. Coilovers are not for everybody, especially in a daily driver. They do not offer a good ride.
I also agree that the Koni FSD's seem to be the best of both worlds.
I am running the Koni Yellow Sport Shocks and they to are a tad bit on the stiff/unforgiving side (nothing like what a coilover would be) but do offer good handling.
Personally, I wouldn't want to go any stiffer in my DD unless I were AutoXing every weekend.
For a simple replacement shock, look for a twin-tube design. These are what most factory shocks are these days and offer a good ride and modest handling. The KYB G2 series comes to mind, but the last I checked, they were only available for the rear.
For a little better handling, go with a mono-tube design, such as the Konis or Bilsteins.
