I love the car. I have a question regarding the belts. When the car is idle the belts kind of sound loud...maybe I am not use to a turbo car but is this normal ?

 

ugg yet again i post this.... LET YOUR CAR IDLE at startup for about 30 seconds to a minute and the engine should run smoothly and not make any noticable noises. Same goes with shutoff especially if u have a turbo engine. The oil needs to circulate and cool down ur turbo

 

I think he's talking about belt noises. That's all. He's new to the forum. Don't freak out.

If he reads his manual, like everyone should. He will learn to let the turbo cool off. But, I don't think he's talking about turbo noises.

 

Dont worry mine sounds the same. I did'nt know the 2008 were avalible I bought my 2007 about 2 1/2 months ago.

 

The 08's have a louder belt then the 07's. Mazda felt that people should know when thier killer 4 banger is sitting at a light (since they put sissy exhaust on it). No worries, its normal for the 08.

 

i also just got the new 08 MS3. It is quite loud at times when at idle. i just got a turbo timer and it helps out with the cooling of turbo.

 

ahh my family of speed 3's . i feel like im at home! i wonder if the 08 wil have the mount recall.......
