Just bought a new/used Mazda, warranty question
Hi everyone,
I just bought a used 2012 mazda 3 hatch manual at a pretty good price. It only had 3k miles on it, still under warranty. I am just wondering now. Is there anything I have to do to transfer warranty to under my name? And what are the required maintenance that I have to do be eligible for warranty? Do they have to be done at the dealers? I am totally lost. I've never bought a new car before. Any input is appreciated!
Thanks!

Where in the world are you?
Different countries have different policies.
In general as long as the servicing you get done meets Mazda's standards and you have receipts then you shouldn't have any problems.

If the car has a serious engine malfunction and they want to put a new motor in all they require are proof that the oil has been changed atleast every 7k miles. Other then that don't bolt on tons of aftermarket crap and the warranty will b fine. As far as the changing the warranty to your name it's not really needed. The warranty is valid for the car no matter who's name it's under. You can call mazda and have them change it if you would like.
