Jacking point issue
What ho one and all,
Assuming I want to do something to one of the wheel hubs, brakes (whatever), can use my trolley jack to lift the car using the jacking point. I do have some slotted timber to protect and spread the load. But I also want to support with an axle stand, which should be positioned at the the jacking point, but that position is currently occupied with the trolley jack.
So where is a good position to lift the car prior to lowering onto the axle stand?
Thanks

The strongest areas would be the sub frames that attach the control arms (front and rear) .
There may be other parts in the way, and you may not get a good angle for the jack. Just use common sense and be careful.

Will have a look the next time I have it on the ramps. On my previous car, I usually used the cup on the jack over one of the sub-frame mounting bolts for the temporary lift until I could get the axle stand into position.
