Default Intake manifold - cannot figure out how a hose attaches.

Helping a friend replace the intake manifold on a 04 mazda3 and we got the old one out and the new one put in place. Everything is reconnected except 1 hose at the top. We couldnt figure out how to get it off the old one and while playing with it ended up braking it. The new manifold has what looks to be a plug where this hose is to attach and we are unable to figure out how this comes out either. Can someone help identify what part this is and maybe how it comes off and on. Im guessing this is a oil line?

This is were the hose connects to, were the gold/orange peice is in the pic.

downward shot of it. For refrence the line with the blue clip is the fuel line going into the fuel distributer.
Red arrow points to were the hose would connect to but as you can see there is a cap there, the blue arrow is the hose. (the old gray plastic peice we broke when trying to take it off the old manifold is still in the hose.

Another shot:

Better picture of the hose.

If anyone knows how this hose is suppose to attach please let me know. Thanks.
