Mazda3 Offered in both a sedan and wagon, this sporty model offers a great car for the family, as well a fun track car.

Default I also did a long-ish drive this week

2016 SGT, 6-speed
Drove it about 1,500 miles total (650 on Wednesday, 650 on Sunday, a few hundred in between)

Here are the highlights
  • Incredible comfort
  • 33.5 mpg***
  • Lots and lots of power
  • Super quiet
  • Perfect ergonomics

***Interesting caveat on the mpg: I never make any effort to drive slowly, or with global warming in mind. Usually I'm between 75 and 95 if traffic allows. Yes, you may patronize me for going 95 and endangering more butterflies. But so often, all of you other effers on I-95 will infuriate me to the point that I have to open the throttle and find some space where I can actually use cruise control for more than a mile. Go one speed, preferably in the right lane.

Continuing on about the Mazda: I stopped twice in 10 hours. I just got out of the car 30 minutes ago with no stiffness, I'm not tired, and I feel, not only a lack of irritability, but I feel alert and pleasant. Like I'm not biting someone's head off, or already asleep.

The ergonomics are dynamite. I never once got uncomfortable or frustrated with the placement of anything. It was fantastic, truly.

I think this is the best GT car for the price. Of course, I haven't driven cheaper GT cars, but I can't imagine one better.

My wife and I did our first tiny trip in our new s GT today and we were both commenting on how good the ergonomics and comfort were in the car. I'm thinking a trip down to New York in a couple of weeks will confirm those (and your) observations.
