Default How to Replace Cabin Air Filter?

Does anyone know how to replace the cabin air filter in the 3? I have an '06 hatch and really don't wait to pay $58 at the dealer.

Hmmmm, it's been a while. Remove the cover for the fuse box. Drop the fuse box down. Unplug all of the wiring harnesses. Unbolt the bracket for the fuse box from the firewall. Remove the black panel on the right hand side of the center console (just to the left of the fuse box). The air filter pieces slide in in two pieces so remove the first one and then the second should drop down and you can slide it in as well.
