Yeah you're right Virg. I like how the RX-8 rims are more straight. Looking at the pic helps a lot. I wouldn't have change the speed3 rims bc i like the speed3 rims, but i guess that person didn't. It does look like the 3 rims, and i like the 3 rims, but i just wanted to go a little bigger to have more rim and less rubber (low profile tires). That's why i wanted them. If they affect the performance, then it's a definite no go. Thanks for the input. I don't understand why these tires cost more. They don't last, and there is less rubber. What gives. Is it the type of rubber they use?

i have never paid more than $200 for a set of rims...and they all have been in near perfect condition when purchased with no visible flaws you just have to take your time and look around and eventually you will find a good set...and they have helped my performance because you get more rubber on the road but im more curvy roads it didnt make a noticable acceleration difference. but the handling over stock was worlds apart

Lev, Check these out, or look for other's and you'll be all right... or at least no worse than the OE 17's are.

These may not be your style or color and I understand that, but... 18x7.5x +50mm... 16lbs ea. $239 ea.
It can be done, you just have to look and research. (V-V-V A link to the whole list. Watch the weights and offsets and you'll be OK.) Also, if you don't see the offset or size you want, call them. I waited for 6 months for them to offer a +50mm and in fact they had it all the time, it was just mislisted on the web site. I spoke to Cy.
