I just couldn't find a used 3 hatch in decent shape, so had to get the (2006) sedan. Regretting it now that I'm furniture shopping.

Can someone tell me what is the largest piece of furniture you've ever stuffed in the back of your 3 sedan? Specifically, will a 3ft x 4ft tabletop fit? My tape measure is telling me it will, but I'd appreciate a "yes, I've done that."

Is it just the top or are there legs on it as well? IIRC the biggest you can fit horizontally across is ~36". My son has a sandbox that was built to that size specifically so it could be put in the car. So as long as you put it in lengthwise it should fit fine.
