Default HID problems

I have a 2005 mazda 3sp, 60k miles that I bought brand new........my great and wonderful HID headlight went out, took it to the dealer and it was $254 for just the bulb not including installation! So they replaced it and low and behold the new light went out 10 mins after being installed....4 days later they have finallyfigured out that I have a faulty headlightrelay module............$496 to replace, so all together a little over $750 for a freakin headlight replacement!!!!!!!!!Thanks Mazda, lets hope that the other one doesnt burn out! and I will never buy another Mazda because of the crappy customer service and cost of replacing a simple headlight![:@]

Was there a question in there somewhere?
If you've owned the car for nearly 3 yrs, you should know thatthey don't call them "stealerships" for nothing.
As D said, you should've gone to the AM first. But since you already have HID'syou'd need to get a D2S bulb, not an H7 conversion bulb. It should'vecost around $60, not $$300
As far as the module is concerned, I'm sure someone has a "replacement" part on the AM too. Did you try your local parts stores?
To address yourCS issue, once you've bought the car and the dealershiphas your (banks) money, most places seem to go downhill as far as CS. These days you will only get a lot of lip service and legalese. Just look through the owner's manual and you could figure that out. And repairs, evenfrom the so called independentsget very expensive very fast. Most charge +/-$100/hr these days... a far cry from the $25 we charged when I was in the business.
