Hi everyone
New to the group and looking forward to hopefully only having good chats - previous car was an Alfa so hoping i wont have to live here as much as i did the last forum!
We are picking up a Mazda 3 TS2 saloon on saturday, its the 2L petrol on a 54 plate (reg jan 2005 though)
It looks like a great car, seller seems genuine and is having it valeted and serviced before pick up at a garage "specialising" with Mazdas.
Just wanted to check one thing, is this car a cam belt or chain? I was under the impression its a chain but heard its a belt now??
Thank you and speak soon!!

Hello and welcome to the forums!! Just as an FYI most users on this forum are US/Canadian based so using plate numbers wont work to identify the year as is used in the UK, most plates in the US are just handed out when you register your car and are not related to the year (the plates in most states do NOT stay on the car when you sell it, you keep the plates for your next car), you would have to say when the car was built (not registered) for correct year. Your 2.0L is chain driven still so dont worry about that
Also dont forget to fill out your signature when you get the chance.
Good luck with your 3!

Welcome to the forum !
My sig has my car make, model, year, engine, and tranny as well as mods.
Maybe I should put my mileage, as this is important when responding to questions! UPDATED SIG!
