Help: Rear shock replacement in 2014 Mazda3
I Have a 2014 Mazda3 I touring, mileage 45,000. My passenger rear shock is leaking and needs replacement. I'm not really digging the estimate to do the work and was wondering exactly how hard replacing the rear shocks myself would be. I'm comfortable working on cars but have limited tools, as I live in an apartment. Would anybody be willing to she'd some light on this job for me? I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks.

plenty of videos on youtube. it's not hard. After removing the wheel, there is one bolt at the bottom and two nuts at the top. You might as well replace the shock mount at the top while you have it out. They are prone to breaking and or making clunking noise. The shock is pretty cheap also. Monroe about 40$ each, kyb has two versions. The kyb 551105 is supposed the be the better version and you can get them on ebay for about 100$ for the pair shipped.
