Hello all,

My CV axle on my left side is beginning to fail. I am looking for parts to replace it but most of the autoparts websites have them for every model but mine. I have a 2012 Mazda 3i Touring with Skyactiv. All of the parts I have seen so far say they are compatible with automatic 5 speeds or manual 6 speeds but I am having difficulty finding one that is compatible for my 6 speed automatic. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

 

Is there a reason to think the 2.0L Skyactive with 6-speed automatic has a different axle than a 2.0L MZR with 5-speed automatic?
Ask a Mazda dealer for both part numbers. Hopefully they are the same.

 

From my experience trying to locate the same parts. No they are not the same. One is 5 speed the other 6. And no the manual version is not compatible either. Dealerships wants $300+ per half-shaft and 350+ for the intermediate shaft (middle) that I have found so far

 

I have spent a couple hours looking for the same part. It’s not easy.
