hey i have a 06 mazda 3 i have intake and exhaust was wondering is there n e way to build a high compression 3 or do they have a supercharger for the 3 yet
also does n e one here know the compression of my stock 3

if you want higher compression, im not 100% sure, but i think you would need new pistons, and connection rods and watnot...
the stock compression on the 2.3L is i believe 11:1 and the 2.0L is 10:1.... or something like it

There are many turbo kits out for the 3, though i believe the HiBoost kit is the predominant one on the market right now. If you're going to be doing only a little boosting then many people have gotten by on their stock internals. It's the people who try pushing lots of boost on the stock engine/transmission that keep blowing their cars up. If you're going to be trying to push a whole lot then you'll need to build up the engine and tranny so that they can take the extra stress put out by the turbo.
As for SC's I believe there are some kits in Asia for the 1.6L engines, but I haven't seen any in the US.

ok, thats a link to a thread in this forum that was started to help us find aftermarket parts for our 3's....
but im sure you could always try emailing HiBoost.... since they are a turbo kit manufacturer, im sure they'd be able to answer ur questions!!

you should just try to find a new crank shaft for it that has a longer throw. that will raise the compression without having to rip out a new top end. should be able to find one for about $1500 if they are out yet.
just so we are clear bro your NOT gonna beat your buddies k20 hatch without a turbo. Havent even seen high comp pistons and rods available yet and there is no way to tune the stock ecu without a FMU that is the ONLY thing that has worked and unless u have a euro spec car the only thing available for the head is stonger valves, valvesprings and retainers. Even if you had a euro spec 3 the only set of cams out are for forced induction only. Sorry but there isnt and never will be a fast all motor 3, just save up and buy the turbokit from Hiboost only no custom bs and you will be alot happier.
I wonder if anyone makes a high compression (thinner) head gasket yet? 'Course, that's a lotta' work w/o much to gain.
Ideally, tuning the ECU would probably be the most effective solution, but as Tracker says, it takes special tools, money, timeand training to get that right too.
There's no magic fix, Bro. I wish there were.
