Default Headlight Help!!!

Hey everyone! I need help with my headlights! I need to know the size of the high beam and the low beam and if its POSSIBLE to have the xenon after-market light bulbs put in for the headlights??

I NEED TO KNOW if they would burn the wiring out, otherwise I will keep the stock lights in!

Anyone have any experience with changing the headlight bulbs and/or have done that on their Mazda 3 already? Do I need to get a new heavy-duty wiring harness?

Please let me know!

(reason why im asking, is because I used to have a 94 Integra and I started putting xenon "after-market" light bulbs in with the stock wiring in the car still and they eventually burnt the wires all out and I had to get my car re-wired...)

Default RE: Headlight Help!!!

Well here is the list for 2004 - 2005 Mazda 3's and SP23's

Front Headlight Low Beam .................................................. ................. H7 (55W)
Front Headlight High Beam .................................................. ................ HB3 or 9005 (55W)
Front Headlight Park Light .................................................. ................. W5W or 194 (5W)
Front Turn Indicator .................................................. ........................ BAU 15s (21W)
Front Lower Bumper Fog Lights (SP23 Models) ............................................ H11 (55W)

Side Turn Indicators .................................................. ........................

Rear Turn Indicators .................................................. ...................... 7440 (21W)
Rear Brake Lights (Standard Outboard Arrangement) .................................. 7443 (5/21W)
Reverse Lights .................................................. .............................. 7440 (21W)
High Mounted Brake Light .................................................. ................. 921 (18W)
Rear Luggage Compartment .................................................. .............. 74 (3W)
Licence Plate Light .................................................. .......................... 194 (5W)

Standard Rear Spoiler Intergrated Brake Light ..........................................

Overhead Map Lights .................................................. ...................... 194 (5W)
Front Door Courtesy Lights .................................................. ............... 194 (5W)
Glove Box Light .................................................. ............................. 194 (5W)
Ignition Key Illumination Light .................................................. ............. 74 (3W)

Special Notes:

* The BAU 15s used in the Front Turn Indicators .... are special bulbs found in Asia/Australia and not found in the USA. The "s" is an important letter and signifies that the ... two bulb locator lugs are at 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions. In the USA these locator lugs are at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock .. and thus won't fit Australian Mazda 6's.

* The H11 LL .. used in the SP23 Lower Bumper Fog Lights have .... LL = Long Life bulbs. This is due to the high vibration area in which they are located.

Hope this helps[sm=signs003.gif]
