Default Header and oxygen sensors

For thoes who own a M3i know that there are two oxygen sensors on the headers well I bought a header that utilizes the firts oxygen place but not the second and there is no where to put it. So, I bought an o2 simulator that is suppose to plug back into the the second hole well there is none. So should I be able to attach the second o2 sensor to the simulator and just let it "hang" outside the header and no throw a CEL?
