Today the CD player part of the head unit from my 03 Mazda3 s stopped working. The FM and AM work fine, but nothing happens when I press CD or Load. Any one experience similar issues before?

 

ive heard problems like this in actually a friend of mine who used to own an 04 mazda3. it may be the disc reader could be dirty and wont read anything, or the lazer is not functioning properly. but if the problem is the head unit is broken you may as well buy a aftermarket head unit with the amount mazda will charge for it.

 

did you get in a wreck or hit a hard bump or jump start another car cause that can all cause this problem. i had the same thing with my 3 but i wrecked it and just payed the deductable and got aclarion 2din put in its the way to go if you go aftermarked
