GRRR... dumb dealer...
I'll give the service manager props for working with me over the phone to get the problem resolved.
Last week I was in Houston for work all week. While I was out there I got my oil changed in Conroe over near my parent's place I was staying at. So I went, all was gravy, went home. The next day was my last day out and I was headed back to Austin after I got off. I drove from Conroe to La Porte that morning. Once I got to La Porte I heard something dragging under my car. I got out and notice the plastic shield that protects the underneath of the engine was hanging off. There were only about three plastic screws holding it on... that's it!
After work I called up the service manager and he helped me find a dealer along my route home back to Austin and agreed to reimburse me if there were any costs involved. Luckily the shield did an airplane wing effect while I drove and didn't drag the ground when I drove except for slow speeds. The wind would pick it up and hold it up. I got to the dealer in Houston and fortunately they just reattached the shield at no charge... to which I got back on the road and came back to Austin.

You got the 0.10/hr "oil changer guy."

We had one of those... once he forgot to check to see if the seal was still on the old filter. It wasn't. The customer picked up his car and drove about 12 miles before all the fresh oil leaked out and blew the engine. We had to replace it with a brand new one.
Penny wise and pound foolish, these business people.
