GT is what the 3s is called in Canada.

oh ok so when i get my 3 if i get one from canada it would be a gt. does gt stand for grand touring

GT used to stand for Grand Tourismo (60's), nowadays I don't think it means much

I drive a ton in the snow (National Ski Patroller), it does just fine. Although I've heard complaints about the stock tires in the snow. I've got Toyo Proxes FZ4's and they did just fine.

FWIW....I put snow tires on my wife's Mazda6 and they made a HUGE difference over the stock Michelins (which were HORRIBLE in the snow)

Yes the GT is "Grand Touring". It's not a performance trim as it used to be known as, just kind of a "luxury" trim.... or at least as luxury as a compact ~$20k car gets.
