Default Fuel System Cleaning and Brake Fluid Exchange

Hello,

I have a 2014 Mazda 3 iTouring Hatchback. I recently went in for my 65k+ service and they recommended Brake Fluid Exchange for $150 and Fuel System Cleaning for $290. I am based in Los Angeles. Are these rates too high ? Should I get these outside of these Mazda Service center?

You would have to post the actually estimate so that a couple of us in the business (lucky you I am in USA and CA know what or can look at the labor rates in your area are.) can tell you if they are competitive for your area.
But based on what you posted ..... close!

Most service shops in CA the standard hour rate is 100.00 . To do a brake fluid exchange is an hour job. so labor is 100. Brake fluid would be about 30 bucks. So 150.00

A Fuel injection cleaning is use a F?I cleaning system 1.75-2.00 hours. So 175-200 dollars labor plus the cleaning fluid about 1-3 cans so we will call it 30 bucks. That's about 230.
You estimate seems a bit high but without knowing what is included with their fuel injection service cleaning IDK. This is why posting the actual estimates is essential when you ask a question like you did!
