2007 neo with physically broken fuel pump fitting. Trying to source replacements, some say 2004-2005 and cover 3.2 and 2.0 hatchbacks others cover 2004 - 2009. Are there different tanks or impedances in the senders? What gives?

 

since you have a 2007, you will need to order the 2004-2009 spec. Mazda obivously changed something.
