Extended Warranty Price
I am looking into purchasing a new mazda3. Has anyone here purchased one recently and also purchased the extended total confidence warranty. If you did, how many months/miles did you purchase, did you negotiate the price and would you mind sharing what you paid for the warranty. Thanks

There is another current post about extended warranties.
I would not buy an extended warranty at any price for a Mazda (except perhaps for the first year of the Skyactiv X new engine when it comes out in a year or two.) Mazda's are reliable and I would be surprised if you needed anything beyond basic maintenance in the first 150,000 miles and shocked if you needed more than half the cost of the extended warranty.
Keep up on the basic maintenance, primarily change the oil regularly (with synthetic oil) and you will not need the extended warranty.
The Mazda 3 is a great car. You will love it.
