Default Exhausted Research, muffled responses.

I own a 2010 MazdaSpeed 3. I'm looking to have a custom exhaust made for my car, from the rear flange back. I took the car to a local muffler shop today to take a look under the car. (Nothing like looking under your brand new car for the first time. "Oh man, sell this damn thing before the warrenty runs out, if you ever have to replace those cats...")

The first question posed was this; does an after market exhaust that replaces the stock muffler void the emission warrenty on these new cars? I'd like a more rich, deep rumble from the exhaust, not to mention getting rid of some back pressure.

Second question is this; What have your experiences been with exhaust on Mazda 3 cars, with turbo charged engines? What muffler did you put on and did you like how it sounded?

My personal choice leans toward Magnaflow and Flowmaster. I would like to keep the same muffler type as stock and the way the duel exhaust is laid out, I don't see many other choices but to keep the stock configuration.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Happy Zooms.

Cute title.
A muffler replacement should not void your warranty. The Maggies or FM's should be fine.

The only Mods that will void your warranty are any that "cause" or contribute to a problem.

listen to a vid on youtube from the older year speed 3, what you get is going to sound almost exactly the same, and as long you dont live in cali the muffler upgrade is ok
