i just bought a 04 mazda 3 hatchback a couple of weeks ago and have been hearing a strange noise right before it shifts. i only hear it when im not pressing the gas that hard. is that normal?

 

I have a 04 Mazda 3 s 4 door sedan.. if I were you I would take it to the dealership immediatly! I know it will be under warranty so i'd get that checked before you break down on the side of the road and have to pay for the towing (no covered by the warranty!)... It seems like it could be a problem with your tranny... those problems never seem to be good or small ones at that!
