Default Dealer Recommendations?

I have a 2008.5 MazdaSpeed3 hatchback with just under 24,000,km.
The last time I had it into the dealership for an oil change I was told that
my transmission oil level was low and getting very dirty and that I should get it changed. I am finding conflicting information out there about whether this is a good idea or not. The owners manual is not very helpful.
It was also suggested that my interior air vents were not blowing well and that I should get the cabin filter changed. Is this just a bill padding gimmick?
What have other owners experienced? Would appreciate any feedback.

as far as the tanny fluid hy wouldnt it be a good idea to change it? fresh fluid is always good for a car espessialy if its dirty.

now the carbon filter may be another store i have seen it dont on a 6 and you literally have to take the WHOLEEEEE dash COMPLETELYYY apart to do it which = lots of labor which = $$$$$ id see what they charge to do it and if its not a TON of money (like i think it will be) then id do it too just cause thoes things can get pretty gross cause all the outside air coming in goes through that filter

depends, if u bought the car second hand, id go ahead and do the trans flush, the synchros are known to go bad anyway and having good fluid may extend the life of them.
