I'm writing to you today about our 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback. While fueling this car this afternoon, gasoline began rapidly spilling underneath the vehicle. The pump never clicked off to indicate the tank was full. The gas station attendant thought it was their pump that was defective, however, I'm wondering if there is something wrong with our car. When I got back home, I pulled the rear seat cushion out to check the fuel pump and the images below are what I found. It appears that the fuel pump plate is cracked, perhaps that's what has caused the significant oxidation. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
