i was driving my pop's car last night, an '04 mercedes e55 AMG to get to work because my ' 04mazda 3s (AEM CAI, Custom Catback) was getting its 30,000 service.

on the way home from work theres a nice straight away on a back road which i got the AMG up to 135mph before i had to slow down to make the turn

tonight i took the same straight away in my car and got her up to 85mph before i had to slow down for the turn.

I just found that very amusing!

 

well i hope thats amusing i guess..

i mean duh i hope a mercedes is alot faster than a mazda... but also wayyyy more money if ya can afford it...

i still will ALWAYS love my mazda! oh and the mazda's DONT SUCK UP GAS like those mercedes...

 

The question is:

How fast did you take the corner in each car? The handling is amazing on both vehicles, it's more of a question which one you're most comfortable with.

 

well i believe its unfair to compare the two. But if Mazda put a little more performance dilly dallies like a Mercedes, Mazda would definately beat the crap out of it. In my opinion, Mazdas are like a slow race car. It doest have a 600 horsepower engine that could do 0-60 in 4 seconds, but they handle nearly as well as a performance tuned race car. Thats what the whole zoom zoom zoom idea comes from! I think the Mazdaspeed 6 would destroy a Mercedes though!

 

yeah...they are two completely different vehicles...on a straight away the e55 AMG would eat most nearly any other stock car out there up. though, i think if the mazda races it on a windy backroad it would have a very good chance at coming out in front.
