Default Clunking sound in rear end?

Lately I have been hearing a clunking sound in the rear end of my 3 when im going over small bumps. Is that most likely the rear shocks? I've got 93,000 miles on the car and they have never been replaced.

Well I replaced the rear shocks and the sound is still there. At least the ride feels nicer with the new shocks. I did the shocks myself. It was pretty easy. Dont pay anyone for it, it took me about an hour and a half, and $80 bucks for the monroe shocks.

i've heard people complain about the sway bar mounts making noise, may want to make sure its just not some loose bolt. could have a rock or something on top of the gas tank too.

Thanks djs2571. It looks like it is the sway bar end link on the rear drivers side. I started banging around on stuff and that one makes noise. The bolts are tight so I guess the link needs to be replaced. I have it on order, it should show up today. Hopefully that does the trick.
