Default Climate Control delay issue!! Please Help!

When I start my car in the morning, I usually turn on the heat right away. Recently when I go to turn it on, nothing happens. No air blows or anything and then about 2 minutes later, it suddenly turns on. I tried changing the temp from hot to cold. Makes no difference. Any suggestions? Anyone else come across this problem?

don't have an answer, but your question reminds me of one I have. Turning on the heat right at start up in the morning, does that damage the car in anyway? I would think the engine needs to warm up before there can be heat. Correcto?

No. The only reason the air gets hot is because it blows air through the heater core, which is the same as a mini radiator... since the coils in the heater core aren't warm, there's no warm air yet.

It's DRIVING the car before letting it warm up in cold temps that's not too great for the car. It's not absolutely horrendous to do so but not entirely recommended either.

It almost sounds like the GEM. Although my 05 Ford Superduty was doing the same thing and the radio was effected also and they replaced the instrument cluster (That is where Ford hid the Computer that ran everything)
