Default Car Battery Replacement

Hi There,

I've joined the Mazda family - specifically Mazda 3. Apparently, I'm due to replace the original battery (I'll be getting it replaced tomorrow) and I had a couple questions that I hope someone can answer:

1) What's the best battery brand replacement for a Mazda 2013 base model, no Sky-active?

2) I've read a bit about re-programming the computer after battery installation. how complicated or un-complicated is this to do?

Thanks in advance!

1) Can't help you with US brands. Make sure you get 1 with at least 2yrs warranty.

2) Non skyactiv models requires no reprogramming.

Yes the radio, clock & Auto window will need resetting, that's all.

Interstate makes a great battery and I have tried them all. You can also get another brand from AAA or Walmart if you break down in an emergency. They have good warranties and are generally available anywhere. Sometimes you need to find a Tire Plus or some other outlet for an Interstate and they aren't cheap.
