Can I tell the color from the VIN#
Someone with the listing would have to look up the car by that number, however I think the only one"s able to do that would be the manufacturer or their representatives.
The paint code should be located on the inside threshold of the LS (driver"s) door just below the latch.

Thanks for the help. After further investigation it appears that the VIN code does not say anything about the color of the car. I'll check the door code when I get my car.
If you do to www.mazdausa.com and at the top you will see Owners, sign you car up, put the VIN into the system and it will tell you what color it is.
Thanks for the advice. However, I live in Canada so I can't use the USA site. The Canadian site has the Owner's lounge as well but it does not appear to have the VIN option to enter.
If you have the VIN call your local Mazda parts department, they can get the paint code from the last 8 digits for touch up paint in the US, maybe they can do that in Canada.
yea. where abouts in canada are you, you can look at the bottom of the driver's door and on that little info thing you will get the paint code for sure. what colour is it for?
Thanks to everyone for their responses. I just bought a new car but haven't picked it up yet. I do that next week. The dealership gave me the VIN# so I just wanted to see if there was a way via the VIN# that they ordered the correct color car I asked for. I've heard stories in the past where some people have gone to pick up their cars only to find it's the wrong color.
And I'm in Eastern Ontario here.
