Default Brake Usage

Is it just me or does the Mazda 3 mainly use the rear brakes than the front.

I have an 06 3s.

yeah my rear brakes wore out ALOTquicker than my front ones, the rears already had to be replaced and the front ones are just fine almost brand new even with 32000mi on it

Ya same with me. That also probably explains why there is more brake dust on the rear wheels.

Nope...on my MS3 the front rims get dirtier quicker from the brake dust.

the brake bias is still about 70:30 front to rear. The reason the rears wear faster and make more dust is just the compound the pads are made out of. The fronts do more work, so they have harder pads.

Yeah I noticed that most 3's have a LOT more brake dust on the rear wheels compared to the fronts!

My S3 gets much worse dust on the front wheels. In fact, the dust on the rear wheels is hardly noticable.
