I am confused at all the drama. I only posted that I agree with grim_reaper about the best fluid. I use it and it is the BEST! You are more than welcome to use whatever fluid you wish in your mazda3 it's just not the BEST!
Ok dude you made you point you agree with one member I get it not maybe you don't need to continue to repeat it. Is something mentally wrong with you. If so then I am sorry and totally understand your behavior. Or maybe it that old age brain affliction that some get? Again, if it is I am sorry for you. If not do, we all really need you repeating almost the exact same response? lol . Really how old are you. LOL Oh wait 80+ going on 8 . Looks that way in your member's name and what your are now doing in this thread. lol
But if you can .......
Point of subject please show empirical fact and information to support your claim that in your words what I use and what I recommend is not the best? I NEVER said it was and I also never said Mazda FZ was either. In fact unlike you I gave many ways that you and anyone else could contact Mazda and other oil formulators and have a learning chat with them. I see you choose not to learn anything?
I happen to know that there have been direct cases of rejection for warranty from a couple auto manufactures based on their *service person(unspecified to qualification) that because the transmission fluid was the wrong color the warranty was rejected. the auto manufacture lost the case. Or I should state the few auto manufactures that let it go to legal arbitration lost and had to warranty complete transmission. ease otherwise really your information you keep repeating is only making you look like exactly what you are a owner of a vehicle that has others service his Mazda. Which I am sure based on all of your post since you joined is pretty
much the case.
I will report your last response as well. As I said am preparing to post some helpful service steps that can be used by our members and others that come to this forum for information
In other words don't waste my time and my effort to actually help members .
I am going to pst on this thread to first help the OP that created this thread and other that may want to DIY a simple Skyactiv simple oil pan and filter change with simple and commonly available tools that most anyone has in their garage. I am also doing this in my well packed garage with barely enough room to partially open the drivers door to show that you do not need great space to do this simple service.
The oil I choose works for me and I have several oil analysis as well over 50k miles using it but anyone wanting to do this service can use any ATF fluid they feel is right for them.
I did this over 2 days during my lunch time. I seldom ever leave the shop during lunch time but this worked out perfect. The weather has been raining very hard all day and the shop was slow . I estimate from start to complete cleanup of all the tools was 2.0 hours. A handy DIY probably 3 to 3.5 hours job the first time. Nothing is challenging or difficult. IMHO it take me more time to clen up then the actual service. More pictures post tomorrow.
Regarding oil selection I recently had a verbal (yes verbal I prefer direct conversation) communication with a local oil manufacturer about engine oil and their recommended was a semi synthetic oil. I questioned why and the response was that is what the manufacturer specified not what may be the better fully synthetic oil they produce. So don't always make your decision on what the manufacturer sells.
