Default Which batteries for 2010 Axela/3 BLEFW with i-stop?

Hi everyone,
I live in NZ and have a 2010 Mazda Axela/3 2.0l sport hatchback with i-stop (either BLEFW or BLEFP). Recently the batteries have needed replacing but I'm completely at a loss as to which ones to get.
I researched everywhere I could find, including auto store recommendations and even called Mazda directly, and they all said I needed a 55D23L & a Q85LEFB.
Well I went and purchased those, however they are waaaay too big to replace the old ones. The original batteries are a bit narrower, with the main being narrower and long (if that makes sense), and the i-stop being the normal battery rectangle shape, just smaller.
I don't know how to explain it better than that, until I head back over to my garage a few blocks away later today with a measuring tape.
The old batteries have no telltale information on them whatsoever. I believe they are still the Japanese Mazda originals (it was low KM when we bought it).
If anyone can guide me in the right direction as to what batteries to get, I would be very grateful as currently I am lugging around 2 very expensive and heavy new batteries that I can't swap out without knowing what to get.
I will update a little later on when I get the old battery dimensions, until then please feel free to ask any questions if I'm missing any information. Thanks heaps.
