Exclamation Bad idle and hard to start

I have a 2005 Mazda 3 5 spd and just today when I would put the car in neutral it would obviously go down to normal idle speed then drop to zero and just shut off. I have no idea what would cause this to happen as I have never had any problems with the car before. I wasnt sure if it is a vacuum leak or just bad fuel pressure. It eventually stopped dying on me and now it idles just barley to the point where it almost shuts off. If anybody could help me figure out why this might be happening it would be very helpfull.

too many possibilities. could be a faulty maf sensor, could have a vac leak, could be bad coil pack or plugs. The list goes on

I just ordered a purge canister valve myself. The car has not thrown a code yet but my car will not take more than 11.5 gallons of gas and stalls every now and then when it is cold and sometimes when I put it in reverse. I hear these go a lot not just in Mazda cars but many other brands as well. If you over fill your tank gas will back up to the valve and once gas gets in the valve it will ruin it. So when you are filling up your car once it clicks don't fill it up anymore. OEM mazes purge valves are around $140 new at a dealership. You can find it cheaper online but I found an after market part that has a lifetime warranty for about $21 shipped. I will be replacing it next weekend.
