Does anyone have a clue as to why the AUXILIARY on a BOSE system in an 07would not work?Neither themedia button on the radio nor the mode button on the steering wheel offers up an AUXILIARY. Scrolling through the options does not even show an AUX. We have tried with or without the device plugged into the port in center console. I am tired of taking this car to the dealer...5 times to stop the tire pressure monitor from going off for no reason.

 

Well the first question is do you have sirius radio, phatbox, or an ipod adapter? If you do then the ACI is disabled as they all use the same port on the back of the HU. Mazda makes a switchbox that allows you to plug in the ACI and another device through the same port on the back of the HU, so if that's the problem then it will fix it for you.

Also it's possible that the ACI is simply unplugged even if you don't have any of those things. Sometimes cars come with sirius installed at the port and then if you say you don't want it the dealer removes it but doesn't plug back in the ACI. Another option is that the plug is just a little loose.

All in all the easiest way to troubleshoot is to pull the HU and check the plug.

 

The car has Sirius radio in it...all Mazda parts and install. I guess we need the splitter. My daughter drives the car and wants the IPOD working. I guess we need the Mazda switchbox. The owner's manual sure makes it seem like you should be able to toggle to anyone of the choices. No mention of AUX not working if Sirius is installed??

 

Yup, the switchbox will get you taken care of. One problem is that some dealers don't realize it disables anything so they don't tell you. Another is, like you said, the manual is ambiguous on the subject. Hell, for 6 months after the switchbox became available dealers were telling people there was no such thing as the switchbox.
