Airbag light
I have a 2010 2.0L mazda 3, it was wrecked and set off the driver steering wheel airbag. I just recently had the driver seatbelt repaired, the airbag control module cleared, and steering wheel airbag replaced with a used one. I had to splice new connectors since the old ones melted into my old airbag. I know I spliced the wires correctly and when I used my scan tool I had 0 codes but I still have a ABS, tire pressure, a DSC (I'm pretty sure), and an airbag light on. My main concern is the airbag light, anyone have any thoughts on how I could fix it?
One or more of the sensors in your SRS is still at fault. I recommend you go to a service shop that can scan and find you issue. You then may be able to correct it yourself? But if the light remains active your SRS may not work correctly in the event of an impact.
The location of the original impact does not mean that is the area in fault.
