Default about to buy a mazda 3 HELP!

Hey guys so i been looking into mazda 3. I really like it and been wanting one for a while. I am 18 about to go to college next year my parents are buying me a car. I really like the mazda 3. Im looking at one right now

it had a 3rd owner
05 hatchback
75k miles
clean title
Interior Black/Red
Pretty much stock
2.3L DOHC MPFI 16-valve 4-cyl engine

asking 10.2k

Can you guys give me all the feedback possible?
Are they asking to much?
What should i look for when i check this out?
Is there any big problems on mazda 3 since it does have 75k miles?
Is this car reliable?

i already check it out test drove it. Seems good to me but what do you guys think about this?

Avg trade-in value is $7k, clean trade-in is $8k, retail is $10k.
Someone else will have to speak on the '05. I don't have any experience with them.

10k is a little too much for a used 05, most i would pay is 7-8k, things you should look for is, belts, mounts, brakes, and normal gear change off the bat

that price is high, definitely somewhere in the 7-8 range is more reasonable. you can haggle down the price with the dealer by getting a professional car inspection done and whatever issues are found can be taken off the price. companies like aim mobile inspections offer this service with autocheck, so it'll definitely give you some peace of mind. hope that helps! happy shopping!

That is WAY too much money for that car. Without being able to check the car for repairs, I'm going to assume it's got a few bumps and bruises - door dings etc. With that in mind I would give $5-6k in cash wholesale for it. Maybe $7k to close a deal if they were purchasing another car from me. 75k miles is high for that kind of money. I purchased a 2008 M3 (admittedly from a Mazda dealer only auction) with 34k miles on it for $10.5k It was 5-dr "Touring" model with auto trans. It had been involved in an accident, but was repaired by a Mazda dealer, so the work is under warranty by Mazda. I would have (after servicing/detailing/and then "certifying") listed this car for about $12.5-13k You need to continue your search elsewhere.
