Default 2026 Mazda 3 Hatchback Turbo - the Japanese BMW?

With Mazda's potent 2.5 Turbo, the 3 is seems to be the easy winner at it's price point, in it's class.
I can't think of another Pacific Rim or American competitor that can approach Mazda's combination of semi-luxury and performance.
We have a '22 CX-5 Turbo, with 30k miles. Never had any issues, and the engine has gobs of torque, good character, and the Sport mode makes it even meaner.
My friend had a 3 series BMW, with their 2.0 turbo. I didn't like the character of that engine. It didn't seem like a happy engine when you stepped on it. Sounded very strained.
Their straight 6 is a marvel though.
So who here has the new Mazda 3 hatchback turbo?

Well it’s nice to see a more positive response from you since you joined.

And glad you like your Mazda. Very nice personal review

I can state that most that hear the word Turbo instantly get this concept which is more misconception about them.

I never had any negative comments about our CX-5T. Only about the dealer's maintenance service.
Isn't it true though, that mosts posts are complaints about issues they're having?
A positive post is needed sometimes!
You Mazda owners need not fear the Turbo, it's your friend who will deliver on demand.

Yes I agree that there is a high percentage of new vehcle owners that all they do is complain and have negative responses. I have to wonder if the vehicle they test drove and purchased was so bad why did they buy it in the first place.

I don't have any problem with Turbocharged factory engines only that they are misrepresented somewhat by the auto manufactures. The primary reason that many auto manufactures went with a model with a Turbocharger was the strict regulation placed on them by some countries like the USA. Those are now eased up, and we will see less Turbocharged models because a N/A will now be able to produce from the factory a substantial part or torque and HP losses by those past and manty cases ridicules EPA restriction imposed to the auto manufactures in the USA.
So, for those buying a Turbcharged daily driver you may be owning a slowly being phased out of production vehicles at least in the daily driver class. Performance vehicles will pretty much always be around.
