(new here)

I have a new 2021 Mazda3. CarPlay has been working great on iOS 14 but when I upgraded to the new iOS 15 the controls to skip to the next/previous songs stopped working (both on the pad and the steering wheel). So far, I have tried the following:

• iPhone hard restart
• Car restart after iPhone hard restart

I imagine I am not the only person with this issue. Does, generally, Mazda provide an over-the-air update to the car to fix those issues or is this something Apple has to fix, which can take months?

Note: when I disconnect the phone from CarPlay and instead use Bluetooth to connect to play music, the controls work perfectly.

I searched on every forum on internet and eventually end up fixing this by disabling content & privacy restrictions.
