2021 mazda 3 turbo firmware update disabled due to location
It's an aftermarket vehicle, imported from US.
My current firmware version is 11016 (I assume it's quite outdated) firmware version
The system prompts about the available update, but fails to do so due to location restriction. The exact message says "Data connectivity unavailable in this location. Please move the vehicle to another location and try again."
I went to the local Mazda dealership for help. Right away, they refused to take any responsibility for potential damages that the firmware update might have caused. Not only that, they just don't have the firmware newer than my current version (their argument was that they only serve vehicles for the EU market)
Is there any reliable option to get my firmware updated without too much risk of damaging anything?
P.S. I have no issues whatsoever with my current firmware version and I am not expecting miracles from the update. I know a lot of experienced guys recommend leaving as it is (if it ain't broke don't try to fix it). However, I think my car should have the pulsing turning lights (which it doesn't at the moment) and the 4 unlock button clicks on the remote doesn't automatically lower down the windows. I am assuming this has something to do with the firmware.
I would very much appreciate any help or recommendation.
