Default 2019 Mazda3 Navigation question

Does anyone know how to search in the navigation while driving using the Mazda Navigation in the new 3?

It allows me to select a category such as fuel stations, yet it only shows the first 3 options and doesn't allow me to scroll down the list unless I am parked. The other day, I was on a highway with the exits miles apart. The 3 on the list were within a few miles, yet the next exit was 10 miles ahead. With Sirius Travel Link, I am able to see the prices of gas at the cheapest stations in the area, however, in this case, I am limited to the first 2 on the list with no ability to scroll down.

Does anyone have a solution?

Is anyone else running into this problem?

Does anyone use the Mazda Navigation in the 2019 Mazda3?

If so, have you run into the same problem?

I am surprised that this doesn't seem to be a problem to anyone else but me.

1031 people have viewed this thread and yet no one can say they have a 2019 Mazda3 with the same problem or even without the problem. Beyond that, can anyone give a suggestion as to what to try?

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that a major highway along my route was backed up. I went into the GPS and selected specific roads to avoid. I was able to select the same next road 5 different ways, but was not able to scroll down to the backed up highway 2 miles away. Apparently avoiding a specific road on your route is another thing that Mazda thinks you should stop the car for.

If no one on the forum owns a 2019 Mazda3, can anyone suggest a Mazda forum with members that might actually own a current Mazda and are willing to help a frustrated fellow owner?

I haven't used the Mazda nav system yet because (a) I'm still trying to figure out Apple CarPlay (not on my old car) and (b) my 3 is in the shop to get a tire vibration issue corrected. We have a '17 CX9 and I found its nav system to be much more difficult to use than Google Maps on my phone.

The reason behind it is, you are meant to be concentrating on the road while driving. They lock it to prevent stupid people not paying attention to the road.
