Default 2019 Mazda 3 problem

Glad I found this forum so I can ask for opinions. Two days ago I brought home a 2019 Mazda 3 and noticed the next morning a half inch scratch on the trunk lid. It came home from the dealer and went into the garage so there is no way it happened after taking delivery. The light and angle of viewing has to be just right in order to even notice it since it is a silver car.

The scratch is deep and I fear repainting will be needed. It goes back to the dealer next week and I am concerned about having a new car that had to be repainted in that area. I figure no way can it be as good as factory original finish in that spot.

What is a fair outcome? If I accept the repair then I feel I paid full price for a previously damaged car. I do not want to be unreasonable, but I feel the dealership needs to make me some kind of offer to offset keeping the car after the fix is done.

Opinions will be appreciated.

not a chance of a free replacement car. if you have been with the dealer for many years then he will get it repainted for free I'm sure. as for it looking bad after being repainted then I wouldn't worry as the technique's used today in a Mazda franchise are very good

You could ask for free accessories or a free service.
