Hey guys please help me out, this is making me nuts. I'm looking for a late model Mazda 3 Hatch. I read everywhere that the 2.5L Hatch Mazda 3 is the way to go. But when I look at Autotrader etc. It says i Sport, i Touring, etc, but they all say 2.0L. Which model has the 2.5L engine? If you can just point me to a site that lays it out that would be great, but so far I've checked 3 sites and nothing really explains it.

You need to look for a "Mazda3 s" (I believe it came as either a Touring or a Grand Touring in 2015). All of the "Mazda3 s" models have the 2.5 liter mill.

FWIW, my wife and I bought a 2016 Mazda3 s Grand Touring 5-Door 6-Speed Manual last year and the car is very nearly as fast as her former 2012 VW GTI, only much nicer.

if you want a manual transmission with the 2.5, that is 2015+ only.

 

Incorrect. For the 2015 model year there were two versions of the Mazda3 s, the Touring, and the Grand Touring, and both came with the 2.5 liter engine.
