Hi,
I have a UK 2014 Mazda 3 Sport and wondered if anyone can help.
Basically I'm trying to check if the parking sensors are ok and functioning properly.
When I put the car in reverse without pressing the "P" button nothing happens. There are no obstacles around.
In first gear when I press the "P" button the sensors appear on the screen but when getting quite close to objects nothing seems to happen either.

This is similar to what I see, minus the red bar.


I'm guessing they are fine but don't want to risk getting too close or hitting anything. Is there an easy way to test? According to the handbook if there is a fault there should be a ! sign beside a sensor. All seem ok.

Any help would be great as I have a week to check over everything with warranty etc.

 

As soon as you shift into reverse they give a beep to let you know they are activated & ready.
