2012 w/20k miles: Squeaky clutch pedal = New clutch needed??
Just got back from the dealer. I’ve had a squeak in my clutch pedal for years (finally brought it in, I know...) and they say it’s coming from the throwout bearing (though it def sounds like the pedal) and the way to fix that is to replace the clutch. At $2000. That seems outrageous to me. Of course it’s not under warranty anymore.
Anyone know of any TSBs or anything I can point them to? Or any other help to offer?
Thanks in advance!

Time for a second opinion.
If you want to try and self diagnose, fashion yourself a "redneck stethoscope" (a length of garden hose), and position one end up near the clutch pedal hinge and the other near one of your ears. Then try again with the lower end down by the clutch slave cylinder in the engine bay. If it's the clutch pedal, you'll know pretty quickly.
