I have heard of this. I have found a video that talks about it.

I wish there was more said about automatic transmission down shifting like this. It is like in the video referenced above. Just a short 20 seconds blip. I have read about 20 reviews and most have praise for this transmission. I think your average driver would not notice and just go with it, but i just don't like it.
. I have a 6 speed automatic transmission and i'm going around right hand corners in 3rd gear when I think it should be in 2nd. Use the manual override shifting-----mind as well have bought a standard, damn it! There is absolutely no fun with an automatic 
.

congrats on getting it fixed.
That is one of the reasons I prefer manual transmissions so you are able to decide when to shift. I have a 6MT skyactiv, I mentioned in another thread that low end torque was initial lacking, did sort of feel like turbo lag, but has since gone away after the first 1k miles or so.

Is there a sport mode for the transmission? Or is the only alternative shifting on your own?
My guess is that it's a software issue. Some cars like BMW have a transmission reset procedure that the owners can perform on their own.
