I have heard of this. I have found a video that talks about it.

I wish there was more said about automatic transmission down shifting like this. It is like in the video referenced above. Just a short 20 seconds blip. I have read about 20 reviews and most have praise for this transmission. I think your average driver would not notice and just go with it, but i just don't like it.

congrats on getting it fixed.
That is one of the reasons I prefer manual transmissions so you are able to decide when to shift. I have a 6MT skyactiv, I mentioned in another thread that low end torque was initial lacking, did sort of feel like turbo lag, but has since gone away after the first 1k miles or so. |
There is actually a notice on this, for all November-December cars the vehicle was supposed to get a transmission "reprogram" BEFORE been sent to the customer. This dealer obviously did not do this.

Is there a sport mode for the transmission? Or is the only alternative shifting on your own?
My guess is that it's a software issue. Some cars like BMW have a transmission reset procedure that the owners can perform on their own. |
